Pro Boarder Helen Schettini

Q: What can you tell us about Whistler Mountain?

Schettini: Whistler/Blackcomb has a surreal amount of terrain that is nothing like anywhere else in the world.  There’s something for every ability, every condition, everyone. The snow quality is amazing too. It’s heavy so there is less snow that needs to fall to feel like a bottomless day.

Whistler Snowboarding Runs

Q: What are your favorites runs on Whistler Mountain?

Schettini: I love going off Peak Chair. Million Dollar Ridge and Frogs Hollow are my favorite for a deep powder day. Crystal Chair on Blackcomb and Red Chair on Whistler have such great hit runs to take advantage of if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

Q: Best spot on the mountain for lunch?

Schettini: Christine’s! It’s renovated and has such a great array of snacks and meal options.

Q: Best spot in Whistler for après ski?

Schettini: Dusty’s. After a long day doing top to bottom runs, it’s nice to cozy up in Dusty’s and grab a Caesar.

Whistler Snowboarding

Q: How do you unwind after a long day of snowboarding?

Schettini: I am somewhat of a hermit, so I love coming home, having a hot bath, putting on my slippers and relaxing in front of the fire!
