Aspen has just as much to offer in the warmer months as it does during ski season, from wildflower hikes to mountaintop yoga classes. To take the stress out of vacation planning, use this ready-to-go vacation guide for Aspen put together by locals who know the destination best. You’ll strike the perfect balance between downtime and “go” time too. Here’s a sample itinerary of one of the days:
8:00am: For a quick breakfast, visit Louis Swiss Pastry for an extensive selection of pastries, donuts, muffins, and freshly roasted coffee.
10:00am: Giddy up! Embark on a half-day horseback riding tour through the majestic Maroon Creek Valley with T-Lazy-7. Insider Tip: Rides must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance, and lunch is included.
12:30pm: During your ride at the T-Lazy-7 Ranch, you’ll hop off and enjoy a box lunch with views of the Maroon Bells. You’ll get a sandwich, fresh fruit and fresh cookies! They have a vegetarian option and PB&J for the kiddos.
4:00pm: After a full day of activities, it’s probably time to unwind in your rental or enjoy some ZZZs on the balcony. Spend an extra hour pampering yourself before getting ready for dinner!
6:00pm: For an exciting culinary experience, visit Maru and indulge in seasonal Japanese dishes with locally farmed produce.
8:00pm: When everyone’s full from a delicious dinner, leave the kids with the grandparents back at the rental and head to Bootsy Bellows for some live music and tasty drinks.
